A Legacy Short is a 10-second cinematic video created from your vintage photograph. We use AI to restore and colorize your image before your eyes, then add gentle 5 second animation and music to bring the photo to life. It's perfect for sharing on social media, at family gatherings, or preserving for future generations.
What types of photos work best?
We work with all types of vintage photographs - portraits, military photos, wedding pictures, family scenes, and more. Black-and-white photos work beautifully, but we can also enhance faded color photos. The photo can be damaged, creased, or faded - our AI restoration handles most issues.
How long is the video?
Each Legacy Short is approximately 10 seconds long. This creates a perfect "moment" - long enough to be meaningful, short enough to watch repeatedly and share easily on social media.
What format will I receive?
You'll receive a high-quality MP4 video file as well as the restored photo via download link. The video size can be optimized for social media sharing (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok) and can also be displayed at family gatherings or memorial services.
How does the ordering process work?
Click "Order Now" and complete payment. You'll immediately receive a link to upload your photo. Upload your photo and provide some additional info. We create your Legacy Short within 5-7 business days. You receive a download link via email.
How long does it take?
Most Legacy Shorts are completed within 5-7 business days from the time you upload your photo. During busy periods (holidays, Mother's Day, etc.), it may take up to 10 business days.
What if I need it faster?
Let us know your deadline. We may be able to provide rush service for an additional fee if our schedule allows.
Do I need to do anything to my photo before uploading?
No, as long as it's below 10MB size. Upload your photo as-is. You can take a photo of a physical picture with your phone, or scan it if you prefer. We handle all restoration, enhancement, and preparation.
What photo formats do you accept?
We accept JPG, PNG, HEIC, and most common image formats. You can upload photos directly from your phone or computer.
What if my photo is damaged or faded?
That's what we specialize in! Our AI restoration technology can repair creases, remove stains, fix discoloration, and restore faded details. Even severely damaged photos can often be beautifully restored.
Can I provide specific instructions?
Yes! When you upload your photo, there are fields for captions and suggested creative direction.
What music will be used?
We will select an appropriate music style for the photo (Emotional/Nostalgic, Cinematic/Epic, Peaceful/Ethereal, etc.). We'll strive to capture the spirit and emotion of your photo. If you don't want music, just indicate that on our intake form after you complete payment.
What aspect ratios are available?
Original: Substantially preserves your photo's natural dimensions though some minor cropping may be needed to ensure harmony with our AI conversions (standard option, included). We can also provide a Social Aura: 9:16 vertical format with artistic blurred edges.
Can I share the product on social media?
Yes! You're free to share your Legacy Short on social media, via email, at family gatherings, or anywhere else for personal use.
Do I own the video?
Yes, you receive a personal-use license for the video. You can share it, display it, and treasure it forever.
Can I order multiple Legacy Shorts?
Absolutely! Each Legacy Short is $49.
Do I need permission to use the photo?
Yes. You must either own the photograph or have permission from any copyright holder. You also need rights to use the likeness of anyone shown in the photo. You confirm you have these rights when uploading your photo.
What if I'm not satisfied with the result?
We want you to love your Legacy Short. We work these individually to ensure there is no AI hallucination or dramatic alteration. If you're not satisfied, just contact us. We'll discuss your concerns and, when possible, make reasonable adjustments or offer a refund at our discretion. NOTE: we will not be able to refund due to facial likeness drift with the AI animation.
Can I request changes after delivery?
Minor adjustments (music changes, slight timing edits) can often be accommodated within 7 days of delivery. Major changes may incur an additional fee.
What if the AI interpretation doesn't match the photo exactly?
AI colorization and animation are artistic interpretations based on historical data and algorithms. While we strive for accuracy, some details may turn out in an unexpected manner.
